Created to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Ghosts'n Goblins brand, the online version of the popular series of platformers. Player-led heroes embark on a long and dangerous journey to free the princess from the hands of demons.
Released in 1985, Tokuro Fujiwary Ghosts'n Goblins platform game started a cycle that has been adapted for several hardware platforms. The series has won millions of fans due to its specific sense of humour and challenging gameplay. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the brand, Capcom decided to release a new version of its hit. Work on the game started already in 2006. The developer - Korean studio Seed9 - decided to combine traditional elements of the game with modern solutions, allowing for multi-player fun over the Internet.
In Ghosts'n Goblins Online players can play as a knight or archer. Each character class has 12 special skills that can be developed while playing. The struggle takes place on one of the three boards: the Forest, the Ship of the Spectre and the Cemetery. As befits a classic platformer, the heroes move to the right.
Computer-assisted team selection (up to 4 people) eye to eye are against 40 species of monsters. The clashes are very dynamic and among the enemies there are also bosses well known to fans of the series, such as the red gargoyle Firebrand.
The game does not lack references to the roots of the cycle, including popular weapons and equipment. It is also worth noting that, as in the original from 25 years ago, the armour of the heroes is gradually destroyed during the fight, and after their destruction, the characters remain in the underwear itself.
Ghosts'n Goblins Online graphic design is maintained in the style known as 2.5D. The three-dimensionally generated image is shown from the perspective of a typical 2D view of classic platformers. However, the full potential of the graphic engine can be ired during numerous animated interludes.
