A TPP action adventure game filled with humor and based on the popular Funko Pop characters. In Funko Fusion we can visit around 20 themed worlds from the Universal studio brands, including Back to the Future, Jurassic World, Battlestar Galactica, Jaws and Chucky.

Our main task in the game is to defend the worlds created under the banner of the Universal film studio from the evil version of Freddy Funko, the friendly mascot of the Funko Pop collection. We can visit the universes of such brands as Back to the Future, Jaws, Battlestar Galactica, The Umbrella Academy, Chucky, Masters of the Universe, or Invincible.
Evil Freddy haunts worlds, taking control over their iconic character. The possessed character emanates a purple glow, is hypnotized, and has Freddy's crown on their head.
The game focuses on unlocking and collecting characters inspired by Funko Pop figures. Over 60 unique characters from 20 different franchises have been made available to us. We control the character we've picked and traverse different worlds and locations, fight enemies and solve simple puzzles.
Importantly, each character has its own type of weapon and special moves. Some heroes also have unique abilities that allow them to solve puzzles and find secrets invisible to them.
Duels with enemies are diverse. Fighting from a distance, we can defeat the enemies by shooting at them and blowing them up. Approaching the enemies closer, we can destroy them in hand-to-hand combat.
Moreover, during the gameplay, we have the opportunity to create gadgets and various items, which will allow not only to gain an advantage during battles, but also to unlock hidden areas.
Funko Fusion can be played alone or together with friends in online cooperation mode for up to four people.

Funko Fusion is a brilliant take on the tried-and-true LEGO formula, but for a slightly older audience. The combat is fun, the humour is on point and the selection of characters is impressive. But limited multiplayer options and rough technical shortcomings keep it from reaching it's true potential. With time, it can absolutely get better, but for now, I'm willing to give 10:10 more time to cook, they're definitely onto something.

Funko Fusion is unfortunately not the joyous celebration of pip culture it should be, thanks to frustrating enemies and lots of dull levels.

I'm still none the wiser who Funko Fusion is for. It's a kid's game that's too adult for kids, with a batch of franchises that only older fans will really appreciate, but then they've dialled down the difficulty, presumably to appeal to younger players. The shame of it is, with the right characters, this is a great kids game, and the Jurassic World levels only highlight that. Funko Fusion offers plenty to like, but just like its plastic-melting antagonist, it fuses too many of the wrong parts together to feel cohesive.
