Forgotten but Unbroken

Mechanics

Forgotten but Unbroken is a turn-based strategy game where the main goal is to annihilate the enemy troops that threaten us. To accomplish this, we recruit new comrades in arms, expand our base, and also deploy units in tactical locations on the map.

The choices made by the player play a big role here. If our actions prove effective, we can count on from Eastern or Western allies in the form of additional weapons, ammunition, money or resources. If we demonstrate a particular tactical sense, our allies may also decide to send their best soldiers to our ranks.

The game allows us to both recruit seasoned mercenaries and our own soldiers, whom we can train in a camp or immediately send to fight the enemy. As our units gain experience, they become stronger, until finally they can be assigned a class, thus determining their future skill trees. Among the available classes, we can mention a Commando, a Medic or a Sniper.

The creators decided to introduce authentic character models into their game, who participated in World War II. During the game, we can meet heroes of that time period (such as Vasily Zaytsev or Jak "Mad Jack" Churchill), who the resistance movement for a certain period of time to help in the fight, as well as elite enemy soldiers (Otto Skorzeny or Sturmbanfuhrer Forschner), causing terror on the battlefield.

Technical aspects

The game features three-dimensional graphics, maintained in subdued colors, and the overall atmosphere is enhanced by matching sound effects.
