We play as somewhat dull-witted caveman named Ungh, who neglected his duty and let the fire of the tribe to die out. To redeem himself, he must find a new source of the precious element and deliver it to his village.

Fire is an adventure game set in the Stone Age. It is a work of German team of Daedalic Entertainment, who previously developed Deponia series.

Plot

Fire for PC puts player in the role of somewhat dull-witted Neanderthal named Ungh. He is tasked to watch over the tribe’s bonfire for one night, but clumsy caveman falls asleep and let the fire fizzle out. To rectify his mistake, he must find new source of a precious fire and take it back to his village. On his journey, he will cross various locations, like wild jungles, grasslands and even a volcano’s interior. He will also meet many funny characters, who will help him fulfill his task.

Game mechanics

Fire is a lovable, humorous and classic adventure game, focusing on exploration, interacting with locations and characters and solving various puzzles. Gameplay is enriched with an addition of day and night cycle, which has affects it greatly. Some items can only be used in daylight, while some animals that are required to progress only come out during the night.

Technical aspects

PC’s version of Fire uses colorful, cartoon visuals with many humorous animations to complement it. Players will also grin by characters’ speech, as they communicate through grunting.
