Fingered

Fingered is a 2D logic game in which we assume the role of a police detective. It was created by an independent developer, Edmund McMillen, who is also responsible for such hit titles as Super Meat Boy and The Binding of Isaac. Initially, Fingered was not a serious project, but eventually evolved into a full-fledged game. McMillen was assisted by James Id, who has previously produced experimental trailers for McMillen’s productions.

In the game, we assume the role of a policeman who has to identify the perpetrator on the basis of rather vague clues given by a witness. To top it off, we have to do it with a set time limit. We select the target from among a few suspects. Each day we have to deal with different case and witnesses, who progressively become harder to work with as they tend to, for example, misrepresent the facts while describing the looks and characteristics of the offender. The former is randomly generated therefore there are thousands of possible combinations that prolong the play time.
