An oldschool platform game by Green Lava, initially released for PC Windows as Fenix Rage, and later on as an upgraded version for consoles, under the new title Fenix Furia. The game's protagonist is a boy, a survivor of a devastating explosion which destroyed his village and killed many people. There's also another survivor called Oktarus, who apparently is responsible for the disaster.
Fenix Furia is a two-dimensional retro-style platformer released on PS4 and XONE, with a high level of difficulty, challenging even the greatest veterans of the genre. The game is created by an independent studio Green Lava from Costa Rica, which previously had several small productions for mobile platforms.
The title was originally released on PCs as Fenix Rage, and more than a year and a half later, under a changed name, it also went to the s of the eighth generation consoles. In the console version of the game, about 25% of levels were redesigned, a new, easiest difficulty level was added, and the option of multiplayer gameplay on a split screen.
The main character of Fenix Furia is a boy named Fenix, a survivor of a powerful explosion that destroyed his village and led to the death of his family and friends. A mysterious octarus also emerged from the catastrophe and everything indicates that he may be responsible for it. In despair and anger, Fenix follows strangers fleeing in the hope of learning about the causes of the explosion.
Released on PS4 and XONE, Fenix Furia is a classic platform game. During the game we have to face dozens of extremely difficult levels, and on each of them the player's goal is to reach the cookies hidden there. While playing, we can make long, multiple jumps, thanks to which we can stay in the air and quickly move even over long distances. The use of this trick will prove necessary to overcome numerous obstacles and traps. As befits a platformer, different levels are inhabited by different types of enemies, with many different skills and attacks.
Unlike the original PC version of the game, designed exclusively for one-person mode of play, in Fenix Furia a split screen mode was introduced, in which a completely new hero appeared in the game - the undead Fenix.
Fenix Furia's graphics and music are inspired by classic platformer productions that were released on 8-bit consoles and computers at the end of the 1980s. The worlds visited during the adventure are colorful and varied, and their appearance should appeal to lovers of retro games.
