An action RPG with a TPP camera, set in a fantasy world and meant to be played in coop. Farever was developed by Shiro Games (Northgard, Dune: Spice Wars, Evoland). We travel to a war-torn Siagarta land, full of deadly enemies, platforming challenges and puzzles.
Farever is an action RPG developed for co-op gameplay. The production was created by Shiro Games - an independent French development studio with a portfolio of Evoland series.
Farever takes us to the land of Siagarta, where people have returned after five centuries of exile. In their absence, the world has been overrun by their age-old enemies - the Nightlings - who refuse to allow their power to be revived. Although twenty-five years have ed since the people returned to Siagara, the land is still in chaos as a backdrop for rebuilding efforts and discoveries.
In Farever, events are viewed from a third-person perspective (TPP).
The title puts at our disposal an open world, which we can freely roam, on foot or in the air (gliding). The land of Siagarta is divided among various factions and guilds. Among them are the Crimson Rams, who form a real army, the Nepsians, who are fishermen, and the enigmatic Harbingers. The Nightlings, on the other hand, play the role of the main antagonists.
The game implements a number of character classes, varying in of preferred weaponry, fighting style, as well as the range of available skills and talents. Regardless of which class you choose, you can perform a variety of roles on the team, including taking on enemy attacks (as a tank), ing allies (as a so-called ) or fighting on the front line (as a DPS).
As we progress, we develop the character, which allows us to face more and more challenges over time. We can produce new equipment using the raw materials we collect along the way. This is important because at any given time we can carry both main and secondary weapons, each of which unlocks unique skills and affects our combat potential.
Clashes with enemies are dynamic, and during them we not only have to skillfully juggle the character's abilities and attacks, but also demonstrate dexterity and reflexes. The latter also come in handy during exploration, which abounds in platform challenges. They are complemented by puzzles waiting to be solved.
The game is driven by skirmishes with enemies, dungeon expeditions, facing enemy invasions, as well as taking part in other exciting events. On the other hand, during breaks from great adventures, we can devote ourselves to more mundane activities, such as cooking or blacksmithing.
Farever was developed for cooperative play, but the title also allows you to play alone. The difficulty level is scaled depending on the number of players taking part in the adventure.
The graphic design of Farever is maintained in a cartoonish style.
