Release Date: November 10, 2015
The fourth major installment in the post-apocalyptic RPG series launched in 1997 by Black Isle Studios and Interplay. Starting from the third part, released in 2008, Bethesda acquired the rights to the franchise and took the reins of the subsequent production set in the cult post-apocalyptic universe.
Fallout 4 is the fourth full-fledged installment in a cult post-apocalyptic RPG series originated in 1997 by Black Isle Studio and Interplay company. After the developer studio was closed and Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel came out for PlayStation 2 to mixed reviews, the franchise was taken over by Bethesda, and the company’s subsidiary created the third and the fourth part of the series, the latter released on PC and the eight generation consoles. This developer is also known for the cult series The Elder Scrolls, whose latest installment, Skyrim, appeared in 2011 on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
Fallout 4 PC offers some improvements as compared to console versions. First of all, the more powerful system you have, the better resolution and faster animation speed you enjoy, whereas PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are locked on 30 FPS in 1080p.
Another important aspect is modding. On PC version mods are published almost the same way as in the case of Skyrim. In short, players can freely create and install modifications. Console owners can and install PC mods published on Bethesda.net as well.
The story of Fallout 4 starts off in Boston suburbs, a few moments before a catastrophic nuclear attack. During this short prologue you meet the hero’s family and create your character (male or female), by adjusting his or her appearance and distributing skill points. A moment later the aforementioned attack occurs, which separates the hero from his family and puts him into fallout shelter no. 111. The action proper starts 200 years later, when your character comes out to the surface and starts his struggle for survival in an unfriendly, post-apocalyptic environment.
Depending on individual preferences, you can play Fallout 4 in first or third person perspective. Gameplay mechanics is based on solutions known to Fallout 3 veterans. Back in the game are such landmark features as S.P.E.C.I.A.L. attribute system or V.A.T.S. aiming system that allows to make a precision shot to a selected part of an enemy’s body. The game also lets you own a dog, whom you can give out simple commands. The main focus, however, is on absolute freedom of gameplay, so it is entirely up to you as to where to go and how to shape the story.
In comparison with the previous installments in the series, crafting system was much expanded, letting you recycle various objects and use them to create entirely new items or even construct buildings to provide shelter to the protagonist, his dog, and other survivors. The game offers 50 base weapons, all of which can be subjected to over 700 modifications. Moreover, Fallout 4 brings back enhanced PipBoy, a mobile command center, also offering simple mini-games.
In the original, English version of the game, male protagonist speaks with the voice of Brian T. Delnay, an actor known from games like Batman: Arkham Knight or Evolve. If you choose to play as female character, you will hear Courtney Taylor (Jack from Mass Effect series or Juhanii from Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic).
In of visuals, Fallout 4 for PC, PS4 and XONE is based on a modified version of Bethesda’s in-house Creation engine and looks much better than the previous games. Despite many changes to gameplay mechanics and interface (e.g. a new dialogue system), the authors managed to retain key elements and the series’ unique atmosphere.
Fallout 4 received a collector’s edition, which includes – let alone the game itself – special steel case, poster, PipBoy pocket guide, and a wearable PipBoy replica. You can place your smartphone in it and use it with a dedicated app.

Nuka World is set in an old amusement park, built before the war by the producers of the most popular post-apocalyptic beverage, Nuka Cola. The place is, of course, filled with new enemies, equipment, and weapons.

The fourth DLC pack for the sandbox role-playing game Fallout 4 developed by the experienced studio Bethesda Softworks. Fallout 4 is another installment of the cult RPG series, set in a post-apocalyptic world, slowly rebuilding after a devastating nuclear war. The game introduces a complex crafting system, which is the focus of the Contraptions DLC. Instead of a new storyline, the expansion features a set of items and tools which allow you to build various devices and traps. You can freely combine the interactive elements, edit their behavior scripts, and see your creations in action. Thanks to the great many options available, you can experiment with countless combinations, building mechanisms which even the developers haven't thought of. Of course, building the more advanced constructions requires more resources, scattered all over the game's open world.

RPG
The second minor DLC for the 2015’s Fallout 4, a sandbox action RPG from Bethesda. The biggest novelty introduced in the Wasteland Workshop expansion is the option to tame or subjugate various kinds of hostile wasteland creatures, from beasts such as the Deathclaw to humanoid opponents, like bandits. Once captured, they can be kept in personally designed cages and let out when the situation calls for it, or we simply feel like doing it, for instance: during an assault on a mutant encampment or to provide a unique entertainment to the inhabitants of our settlement. As the title suggests, the expansion offers a large selection of new objects to craft and install in our settlements, including neon lights and various stuffed animals among other things.

RPG
The first DLC for Fallout 4, Bethesda's action RPG that came out in November, 2015. The expansion introduces a new storyline connected to the mysterious Mechanist who unleashed an army or hostile robots, led by the cunning machines known as Robobrains, upon the Commonwealth. As one might guess, the player’s task is to deal with the new mechanical enemies whose appearance had also created an opportunity to expand on some of the gameplay mechanics. As we eliminate subsequent robots, we can salvage some parts of them, using them later on to construct and enhance our own mechanical henchmen who will accompany us while wandering the wasteland. The players can make use of a myriad of new components, including unique weapons and armor, that allow us to build robots that suit our needs and customize their appearances and even voice.

Eurogamer: by Dan Whitehead
A vast and frequently brilliant return to Bethesda's atomic sandbox, but constant technical issues are a frustration.
Giant Bomb: 3.35 / 5
Fallout 4 may feel overly familiar to some, but there are plenty of places to go, people to see, and mutants to shoot, and most of those things are still exciting to visit, look at, and murder (though not necessarily in that order). The occasionally extreme performance issues found in the console versions of Fallout 4 make those versions more difficult to recommend than their PC counterpart. [OpenCritic note: PC version rated 4/5 stars. XB1 and PS4 versions rated at 3/5 stars.]
Game Rant: 4.5 / 5 by Denny Connolly
The graphics may not be cutting-edge enough for some gamers, but Fallout 4 offers a revamped leveling system, an amazing story, and near endless content in post-apocalyptic Boston.
