As befits a detective adventure, the gameplay in Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek is based mainly on exploration, finding various objects (including evidence) and connecting seemingly unrelated facts. The creators have prepared 46 locations in 34 sceneries, and the plot, full of twists, often forces the participants to revisit and explore the previously visited places. The game also offers numerous logical puzzles requiring a lot of perceptiveness. Thankfully, the built-in system of hints means that even those who aren't as familiar with adventures games shouldn't have problems with solving most of the tasks.

Technical aspects

The audiovisual setting is one of the greatest assets of Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek. Two-dimensional graphics of the game consists of hand-drawn illustrations, and the atmosphere of mystery and evil is perfectly emphasized by the atmospheric soundtrack.
