Discworld Noir

Discworld Noir is a point-and-click adventure set in Terry Pratchett's World of Discs. The title allows you to play the role of a private detective and lead a complex case in which nothing is as it seems.

Plot

Former member of Ankh-Morpork Municipal Guard, Lewton, is the first and only private detective in the whole world of Disc. One day, investigating Carlotta's husband's disappearance, he gets involved in a series of murders that completely changes his life. The story presented in the game is not based on any of Terry Pratchett's earlier books and was prepared in cooperation with the writer. This is a typical adventure game in which players look for clues in the next places they visit and talk to the characters they meet, trying to get the information they need. The title is distinguished by an easy to use interface. Pointing with the cursor at a specific target or item triggers a specific action. The same is true during conversations, the course of which is determined by means of subsequent topics selected from the detective's personal notepad. The title tests the players' ability to think logically and reason, putting them in front of many puzzles of varying degrees of difficulty. Some of them require, for example, proper use of previously found objects.
