Death's Door is an action game with isometric perspective, where the most important element is the exploration of inhospitable worlds and fighting with enemies. The game has a very artistic graphic design and was developed by a small studio Acid Nerve.

Plot

The story of Death's Door takes place in a world where Crows form well-organized communities and are divided by the duties they perform. The main character's job is to find the souls of the dead in the world beyond the Door. Despite the monotony of this job, he enjoys it very much. Things get complicated, however, when an unknown thief steals one of the souls and starts to run with it through the land full of old, power-hungry creatures.

In the course of the story we'll meet many powerful opponents, led by terrible titans. Each of them has its own history and motivations, according to which they act. In addition, we also learn the truth about the role of the Raven during the transfer of souls, and the narrative is filled with black humour.

Death’s Door Review: A Game Worth Dying For

Doing a lot of things right, Death’s Door features a beautiful world and level design that rivals that of any Zelda game you’ve played. Plus you get to play as a little crow that wields a sword. What’s not to love?

Soulslike That Isn't Frustrating - Death's Door Gave Me More Joy Than Pain

Short and sweet – that's exactly what Death's Door is. An inconspicuous, pretty indie game (about a crow) is really uplifting. At the same time, it's a real workout. Even though is partly inspired by Dark Souls, it isn't nearly as frustrating.

Tight, challenging combat and a gorgeous world to explore makes the morbid act of reaping souls a delight in Death's Door.

Metro GameCentral: 8 / 10

A thoroughly entertaining mix of Dark Souls and Zelda that has few genuinely new ideas but still manages to enthral with a unique charm of its own.
