Release Date: June 3, 2016
A spectacular sport simulator of an extreme version of golf. Developed by Three Fields Entertainment, studio founded by former of Criterion Software (responsible for the Burnout series and a few installments in the Need for Speed franchise), mechanics-wise, the title combines elements of the aforementioned Burnout, a shooter game, Black, and a classic basketball arcade game, NBA Jam.
Dangerous Golf for PC, PS4 and XONE is an arcade golf simulator by Three Fields Entertainment. In 2014 the studio was enriched by the experienced developers who worked at the legendary Criterion Software – the fathers of, for example, the Need for Speed.
Dangerous Golf combines elements present in the Burnout series, a shooter called NBA Jam. These influences are very easy to notice. During the game hitting the ball into the hole is not the main target. The title presents an extreme variation of golf in which the action takes place in untypical places, like a hotel kitchen, a palace ballroom, a gas station etc. By causing destruction, you gather points and money that you can spend on your golfer’s technique development and unlocking new shots and tricks. While bouncing off various surfaces and objects, the ball speeds up, catches fire, and spreads it all around.
Dangerous Golf published on PC, PS4 and XONE is powered by Unreal Engine 4. Having worked closely with Epic and Nvidia, the developers adjusted the engine for their needs and utilised the newest advancements in physics simulation of objects. Thanks to that, players can breaks different items into thousands of tiny bits and watch their complex interactions.

Game Ratings for Dangerous Golf Video Game.
Destructoid: 3 / 10 by Steven Hansen
Dangerous Golf fancies itself silly and fun, as telegraphed by its lime-green menus, rollicking, record-scratch score, and "punk rock" appropriation of a haughty, classist sport. But the destruction doesn't have much of a satisfying crunch, exacerbated by the floaty ball controls when you're in peak destruction mode. The load times and egregious re-purposing of assets and areas kill any desire I have to get high scores on holes. And it doesn't even lean into its anachronistic, extreme-sport silliness thanks to its sterile Unreal 4 tech demo aesthetic and character-less "world tour." It's fun for a bit and then exhausts itself completely.
