A game recreating the various situations encountered by coast guard officers, developed by Reality Twist - the team responsible for Ship Simulator: Maritime Search and Rescue.
Coast Guard, released on PC, is a game by Reality Twist studio, known for Marine Rescue Simulator. We play as a coastguard officer called Finn Asdair, who, together with his friends from the team, has to face a series of dangerous tasks. The team consists of engineer Fatima Morgane, chief investigator Colman Bauers and forensic medicine specialist Larry La Bouche.
The production is a simulator. Players carry out a variety of missions - sometimes, they have to save people from a burning ship, sometimes they have to get them out of the water or examine a shipwreck. The game focuses on several aspects. The basic one is, of course, steering two ships - the larger one is accompanied by a smaller boat, which is useful in some situations. In both cases, the action is shown from the third-person perspective.
In addition, in Coast Guard we can disembark the ship, for example, to search an island or a room on an oil platform. The camera switches to first-person perspective and we use our items to solve problems, e.g. we need a hammer to unlock a valve, just like in adventure games.
Coast Guard on PC is a three-dimensional production with good graphics. Some shots can look really good, but after taking a closer look at the environment, we can notice some shortcomings such as poor quality textures.
