Chronicles of Mystery: The Mystery of the Lost Kingdom is the fourth installment of a series of adventures developed by City Interactive's development studio. The player's task is to help the main heroine solve the mystery of her father's disappearance and face the powerful forces that will stand in the way. The game is based on puzzles such as hidden objects.
Started in 2008 with Chronicles of Mystery: Scorpio's ritual, a series of adventures by the City Interactive development team met with a very good reception among fans of genres. With the third part of the series - Chronicles of Mystery: The Legend of the Holy Treasure, the creators decided to change the convention and introduce riddles of the kind of "hidden objects". Chronicles of Mystery: The mystery of the Lost Kingdom continues in this direction.
The plot of the game presents the future of Chelsea Connor. A young journalist tries to get information that will help her discover the mystery of her father's disappearance. The parent of the main character years ago took part in an expedition for treasures hidden in the depths of Africa, from which he never came back again. It turns out that an unusual object can help to find his traces.... Unfortunately, somebody is very keen to keep the dark secrets of the past hidden.
Chronicles of Mystery: The mystery of the Lost Kingdom is based on solutions known from earlier releases of the cycle. The game consists mainly in searching for hidden objects on static boards. A variety of games are quite simple puzzles and mini-games.
The game is distinguished by a spectacular audio-visual setting. Together with the main character, players have the opportunity to visit many interesting places such as Egypt and the title of the lost kingdom. Individual locations were made with great care, and the whole experience is complemented by an atmospheric soundtrack.
