Championship Motocross 2002 Featuring Ricky Carmichael is of course another part of the very popular racing game. The 2001 edition of this game was released on two hardware platforms - the first generation of PlayStation and Gameboy Color. This version is related to MX 2002, which was also released on Gameboy Advance. Of course, we are dealing here with a classic racing game in which we sit at the helm of enduro motorcycles, i.e. two-wheeled machines designed to travel on very difficult terrain. Tiertex Design is responsible for the preparation of this game, specializing in publishing arcade books for commerce and mobile phones. This producer has also developed such games as LEGO Soccer Mania or Galidor: Defenders of the Outer Dimension.

The main advantage of this production is the ability to play one of the masters of motocross. This may include Ricky Carmichael appearing in the title of the game, although the list also includes such names as Mike Jones, Kevin Windham, Carey Hart, or Trevor Vines. These are both competitors taking part in classic types of races, as well as freestylers. In total, the game contains about 30 different champions of this sport. You can count on a slightly smaller choice when it comes to motorcycles. The manufacturer included only five two-wheeled machines in the game. Luckily, individual motorcycles differ not only in appearance, but also in performance. Some machines are more manoeuvrable, others perform better on straight road sections. A player can enter many different types of tournaments. These can be both classic races and duels based on the need to perform a variety of tricks. Of course, the acrobatics are scored accordingly. Visually Championship Motocross 2002 looks very good. It is worth mentioning that the console screen can contain up to eight players at the same time.
