A third-person action adventure game with an open world explored using a van. Caravan SandWitch offers a post-apocalyptic world devastated by humankind. Our main task is to locate our lost sister, but we may help others and discover various secrets along the way.
Caravan SandWitch is a third-person action adventure game with a sci-fi open world inspired by the French region of Provence. The independent studio Plane Toast is responsible for developing this game.
The game's action takes us to a fictional, post-apocalyptic world called Cigalo. The presence of people had a negative impact on the world, turning Cigalo from a green planet into a wasteland of ruins.
On our way, we meet a few who have not left this hostile environment. They include robots left after the exploitation of the planet, people living in the city, and the mysterious SandWitch.
The gameplay in Caravan SandWitch is mainly focused on exploration and solving puzzles as well as performing side missions. Our main task is to find the missing sister. For this purpose, we set off on a journey through the deserted lands beyond the city. Our van is the main means of transport in the wasteland. We can alternatively choose to explore the world on foot.
During the adventure, we meet new characters with quest opportunities, completing which will help us improve our vehicle. The improvements may include radar scanning of the immediate area. Everyone on the planet is trying to live in harmony and mutual assistance. It's up to us how we fit into this community.
While exploring the world, we have a lot of freedom of movement, which encourages us to leave the marked path. This allows for a closer look at every nook and cranny, leading to discovering relics of the past and new trace of our lost sister.

Game Ratings for Caravan SandWitch Video Game.
Push Square: 7 / 10 by Robert Ramsey
Caravan SandWitch is just a really pleasant video game. It can be a bit rough around the edges in of animations and technical performance, but its story intrigues, and its atmospheric brand of exploration is largely a delight.
Digitally ed: 5 / 5
I cannot say enough good things about Caravan SandWitch. It is a top-tier chill game. You can tell the instant Sauge steps foot on Cigalo: it’s especially calm for a post-apocalyptic planet, save for a massive storm brewing far out. The very few elements that didn’t work in my favour aren’t enough to even consider lowering my score for the game. That yellow van is instantly iconic the second you lay eyes on any visual of it. Caravan SandWitch has simple controls, colourful graphics, and oddly enough no sense of pending doom (despite Cigalo being on the edge of extinction.)
Gamer Social Club: 8 / 10 by Bright Mylar
Caravan Sandwitch’s story is deeply emotional, focusing not only on Sauge’s quest but also on the broader themes of family, hope, and the impact of sur-exploitation. A beautiful game providing a gentle and forgiving experience that prioritizes relaxation and enjoyment over challenge and competition. The game’s design ensures that players can savor the journey at their own pace, making it a gratifying addition to any gaming library.
