An action adventure game with 3D platformer elements, in which we traverse the dark land of Penumbra. In Blue Fire we explore the mysteries of the dark kingdom and face the dangers of numerous enemies, traps and field obstacles.
Blue Fire is an action adventure game, enriched with clearly outlined elements taken from 3D platform games. The game was developed by the independent Argentinean team Robi Studios and published by Graffiti Games.
Blue Fire takes us on a journey to the kingdom of Penumbra, with its glory days behind it. Though the land is sunk into darkness, it still hides many secrets and treasures. We play the role of a character who, facing numerous dangers, explores the secrets of Penumbra and helps its inhabitants.
In Blue Fire the action is shown from the third person perspective (TPP). During the game we explore the dark corners of Penumbra, jumping on the platforms (helped by the ability to run on the walls, bounce off them and make double jumps) and avoiding numerous environmental traps as well as facing hordes of enemies. Among the enemies we will find both standard opponents and much more powerful bosses. During dynamic battles, the key to success is to make rapid dodges and lead quick counter-attacks. Besides, from time to time, we encounter the ages to the Void , i.e. a distant land full of difficult terrain obstacles; getting through it is rewarded with special items that you won't find anywhere else.
The driving force behind the game are tasks commissioned by NPCs, and as we progress, we gain better equipment. New equipment in the form of swords and amulets (which provide us with various buffs) can be found on the way or purchased from traders. Moreover, as time es, we develop our combat skills.
The cartoon graphics of the Blue Fire game is maintained in a dark style intensified by subdued colors and sparing lighting.

Overall, these impairments do not prevent Blue Fire from being a tremendously satisfying experience. Regardless of how tough the platforming can be, I savored every moment in this world. Even after dying dozens of times, I was still motivated to progress to see what new kinds of wonders awaited me if I could just make it to the next platform. The amount of mystery, content, and challenge ROBI Studios packs into a $20 package is quite impressive and left me hungry for more even after the game's conclusion. Blue Fire emulates the successes of definitive 2D and 3D games and is perfect for anyone with an appetite for a stimulating platformer or action-adventure complete with a gorgeous and enthralling world to explore.

Blue Fire is a game I wanted to like, but couldn't due to its poor focus and loads of ill-considered design issues. Between the balance issues, bugs, and creeping frustrations, there's a lot stacked against the game.
