Beyond Blue is an exploratory adventure game, the action of which has been placed in the oceanic depths. The player takes on the role of the head of a research group which, with the help of modern gadgets, explores submarine abysses.
Beyond Blue, released on PS4, PC and XONE, is a third-person exploration game developed by E-Line, the developers of Never Alone platformer, presenting the beliefs of the Inuit from Alaska. Just like the adventures of the little girl and her polar fox, this production was also produced in close collaboration with a number of experts, including leading oceanographers working on the BBC's documentary Blue Planet II.
In the near future, the depths of the oceans still remain a mystery for people. Huge, unexplored areas of the Earth covered with water equally fascinate with their beauty and arouse fear of the unknown. We play as Mirai, the female leader of a newly established research group, who was given the task of exploring the underwater world. The team will do that by using highly advanced technology.
In Beyond Blue, we observe our diver from the third-person perspective. During the exploration, we observe aquatic creatures, among which we can find powerful whales, squids, rays, sea turtles or lonely predators hunting for agile shoals of smaller fish. One of the gadgets that allow you to see the underwater world is a camera that displays the underwater landscape in different ranges of the visible light spectrum.

Game Ratings for Beyond Blue Video Game.
Push Square: 8 / 10
Beyond Blue excels in presenting gorgeous marine environments stuffed to the brim with fascinating ocean life and interesting places to explore. Whether you're swimming with humpback whales or exploring underwater caverns, this is an experience that really does make waves.
Hardcore Gamer: 3 / 5 by Jordan Helm
Should you be looking for a brief distraction or simply a game with a bare input to see most of what it has to offer, Beyond Blue provides a quaint, if a touch short, detour away from the regular catalog of current-year releases.
PlayStation Universe: 7.5 / 10 by Eric Hauter
Beyond Blue is an educational game that delivers its lessons in a very relaxing manner. Players spend most of the game swimming around and looking at fish, and that's totally fine. Though it doesn't nail the story, that's not really the point – the documentary footage is informative and interesting. Beyond Blue is well worth the time for those curious about the depths of the sea, and the subtle ecological lessons it teaches are valuable enough to overlook its shortcomings.
