Battlefield V is another entry in the bestselling series of first-person shooters developed by DICE, a subsidiary of Electronic Arts. The game takes place during the World War II and it returns to the roots of the series.

The action is presented from the first-person perspective. No matter which mode the players choose the battles during the game are fought on a large scale, with a variety of weapons, vehicles, machines (including planes and tanks), and secret inventions.

Singleplayer campaign

In the singleplayer story campaign, the players aren’t limited to a single protagonist. Similarly to the previous installment, the developers are presenting a few separate plotlines as part of the War Stories. One of the protagonists is a woman that belongs to the German resistance and fights the Nazis.

Commandos in Real Life – The Most Amazing Special Operations of World War 2

The missions in Commandos 2 are inspired by the most popular war movies about spec-ops. And these movies were often inspired by Alistair MacLean's books. And these books, mind you, were inspired by real-life events – and these were often amazing.

Games have two release dates these days. You need to pay for the earlier one

Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Forza Horizon, FIFA 19, new Tomb Raider. These recent hits are very different from one another, but there is a certain common denominator – all these games could be played a few days before the release... if you paid extra.

DualShockers: 7.5 / 10 by Logan Moore

I trust DICE, I think they're a great developer, and I have no doubt that six months from now when all of the promised content for Battlefield 5 has finally made its way into the game that this will be one of the best multiplayer shooters on the market. But at this moment, it simply feels like more of what we've already seen before with some slight tweaks that only series veterans will truly appreciate.

GameSpot: 8 / 10 by Michael Higham

It's a fine execution of a familiar formula. There are rough spots, but Battlefield V incorporates small, effective tweaks and truly shines in the more focused objective-based modes.
