Release Date: March 17, 2015
Another installment in the popular FPS franchise. Visceral Games, the studio known mainly for the excellent Dead Space sci-fi series, developed their first major installment in the long-standing Battlefield franchise. It's a result of the transition of the franchise to a two-year production cycle, similar to the one made by its competitor, Call of Duty.
Battlefield Hardline for PC, PS4 and etc. is the first installment of the subseries belonging to the Battlefield series of first-person shooters. Unlike the previous games, Visceral Games, the creators of space survival horrors – Dead Space, was tasked with the majority of development efforts, not, as it was before, the Swedish team at EA DICE.
Battlefield Hardline for PC, PS4 and etc. abandons the traditional theater of war to the conflict of a different sort – the police struggle against organized crime. The player assumes the role of Nick Mendoza – a young detective from Miami who embarks on a personal vendetta throughout United States against his former partners whom the perspective of a fast buck drew the path of lawlessness. The structure of the plot is modeled on television series – it is divided into episodes often finished with plot twists. Detective sequences during which Nick collects evidence and identifies suspects are sort of enrichment. He may also take additional orders (e.g. eliminate wanted criminals) to earn extra money needed to buy new upgrades and weapons.
The maps in Battlefield Hardline are clearly bigger than those in the previous series, although some of them are smaller in size compared to the ones from the previous games. Due to the location of the story, the game is dominated by urban areas, although there are also sites such as American deserts. The game utilizes the Levolution system, known from Battlefield 4, which allows a high degree of destruction of the environment, actually affecting the appearance and shape of the map. The developers designed a new artificial intelligence of the computer opponents, so that the missions can go a little differently when replayed.
The action of Battlefield Hardline takes place in the present, so the players can use a considerable arsenal of modern weapons equipped with a wide range of tactical accessories. The game also contains weaponry that is not used by regular armies, such as stun guns, sawed-off shotguns, or police batons. You can also utilize various gadgets, such as zip-lines or ropes with hooks. As in the previous Battlefields, Battlefield Hardline for PC, PS4 and etc. offers a ton of different vehicles – the players can use helicopters, police cars, special forces combat vehicles, boats, and even civilian cars and motorcycles.
In accordance to the tradition of the series, the emphasis is put on multiplayer mode in which the participants assume the role of law enforcement officers or criminals. Multiplayer in Battlefield Hardline for PC, PS4 and etc. received new variants in competitive gameplay. In Heist, a team of thieves is trying to break into a bank, while the police try to stop them. Blood Money – somewhat similar in spirit, though characterized by faster pace – pits two teams against each other in a fight to secure a big sum of money. In Rescue, a SWAT team must free hostages. Hotwire mode is fairly original compared to the rest. It is a car chase in which, depending on the chosen side, the player must lose the police force or catch running criminals. In addition, the players can play in traditional modes (e.g. Team Deathmatch). The very foundation of the multiplayer gameplay cooperation between team representing four character classes: Operator, Mechanic, Enforcer, and Professional.

The DLC also includes three new firearms for the Mechanic as well as one new melee weapon, a new gadget, four vehicles, and four legendary weapon camos. The second expansion pack for Battlefield Hardline, developed by Visceral Games. The form of the second expansion remains unchanged; its main feature is the addition of several new multiplayer maps, namely The Docks, Museum, Break Point, and Precinct 7. Apart from that, a new game mode has been added - Squad Heist, which based on the Squad Rush mode from Battlefield 4. In this mode, ten players divided into two teams compete against one another. The robbers' goal is first to gather adequate tools, and then break into a specific, heavily-guarded place while grabbing everything they can take. The last part is the getaway. Of course, the cops' job is to prevent all of this from happening. The expansion pack also features four new weapons, two useful gadgets, new vehicles for both sides of the conflict, as well as previously unavailable camouflage types and car liveries.

The first official expansion pack for Battlefield Hardline. The DLC was created by the developers of the original Battlefield Hardline - Visceral Games. It focuses mainly on the multiplayer mode. With this expansion, the players receive four new maps: The Beat (an impoverished city district), Black Friday (a shopping mall), Code Blue (a nightclub), and Backwoods (an old sawmill turned into a drug factory). Moreover, the expansion introduces a new game mode called Bounty Hunter. This is a variation on the standard team deathmatch, which allows you to collect special coins dropped by defeated players. Using the coins, the players can, for example, lure one another into traps. This set of features is complemented by four new weapons, two new vehicles, and some new hats. Besides, the players can listen to some new songs when driving.

Game Ratings for Battlefield Hardline Video Game.
GamesBeat: 86 / 100 by Dean Takahashi
This is the 10th Battlefield game, and at this stage in the franchise's history, it isn't easy to come up with fresh takes. Visceral Games has done that.
Game Revolution: 4 / 5 by Anthony LaBella
Although Hardline probably won't result in any Battlefield converts, it will provide fans with plenty of entertainment.
GameSpot: 7 / 10 by Miguel Concepcion
As Battlefield leaves the battlefield, Visceral Games tailors the series' distinct vehicular-based multiplayer for the crime-ridden streets of Miami and L.A. with mostly positive results.
