The real ace of this disc's visuals, is the stages and arenas. In yet another nod to both Power Stone and Dead or Alive, the combat areas are just totally unique, and uncommonly beautiful. Shiny ponds, stagnant bubbling swamplands, lush and verdant trees, hulking stone ledges and towering pillars dot Barbarian's various landscapes, and they have awesome textures, particle effects, and dynamic light sourcing to point them out.
