Aquatica: Underwater City is one of two (next to Tikibar) debut projects of the independent studio Camel 101. The production was directed to the mass market and is a development of ideas known from classic match-3 games.

The main character of Aquatica: Underwater City is John, an avid diver who spends every free moment exploring the ocean floor. During one of his expeditions he encounters the Sniff community. Unfortunately, their underwater civilization is on the verge of collapse. John decides to help the sympathetic inhabitants of the depths to rebuild their once glorious city.

The player's task is to collect the resources needed to restore the Sniff City to its former glory. This requires solving match-3 puzzles. The game is based on the classic scheme - you should move elements on the boards in such a way that each time you move at least three elements with identical symbols (e.g. starfish, crab, jellyfish), are next to each other in a horizontal or vertical line, which leads to their removal and increase in the point score.
