A tactical turn-based jRPG with surprising plot. The game was developed by Altair Works. The player leads an uprising of slimes that usually serve as a cannon fodder in such games. Decimated creatures discovered that they can control human bodies and they intend to take advantage of this ability. The gameplay in Ambition of the Slimes focuses on turn-based battles that take place on a tactical map.
Ambition of the Slimes for PC, 3DS and etc. is a Japanese tactical role-playing game. The title uses a free-to-play distribution model with microtransactions. It was developed by Altair Works.
The story in Ambition of the Slimes for PC, 3DS and etc. focuses on the race of small monster slimes. Such monsters are the basic type of opponents during the early stages of campaigns in majority of Japanese role-playing games. In Ambition of the Slimes they lived peacefully until one day humans arrived at their territories and started murdering everyone on their way. The slimes weren’t able to fight back this threat. However, after some time they discovered that they can enter human bodies and control them. With this skill they decided to counterattack.
The unusual plot was transformed into a tactical role-playing game with a turn-based combat system. During the game the player is mostly participating in fights that, thanks to the skills of the slimes, are quite unusual. Instead of fighting, the slimes are taking control over their enemies and then they use the bodies to attack other people. The monsters are divided into a few types, each with unique traits. In addition to regular slimes, there are slimes that can teleport, increase statistics of controlled enemies or ones that can control even the strongest foes.
