An expansion for Age of Empires, a popular strategy game developed by Ensemble Studios. The expansion introduces four new civilizations (Rome, Carthage, Palmyra, and Macedonia) and additional battle units, including armored elephants, battle chariots, camel riders, slingshooters, as well as galleys armed with burning projectiles.
The official expansion to Age of Empires takes us to Ancient Rome. Aside from Rome itself, the players can also rule civilizations such as Carthage, Palmyra, or Macedonia.
The unit roster has been updated, and now includes: armored elephants, camel riders, battle chariots, slingshooters, as well as galleys able to fire burning projectiles. Our subjects can now build new types of buildings, including classic elements of Rome’s architecture, such as coliseums, aqueducts, or thermaes, while agressive civilizations can research new technologies such as logistics, martyrs, medicine, or pavises.
