Adventure Bar Story, released on iOS, 3DS, etc., is an RPG with interesting economic strategy elements which put the player in the role of the owner of an inn in the classic fantasy land. The project was developed by RideonJapan studio.

Plot

Adventure Bar Story focuses on the inn, known as the Kamerina's Bar, which is owned by the player's character. At the beginning of the campaign, the condition of this inn is unacceptable. It is rarely visited by guests, the money is slowly coming to an end and the bankruptcy is near. Worse still, the influential restaurateur Gustav wants us to get out of business - he wants to take over the property by paying as less as possible.

Our task is, of course, to overcome all these obstacles and make our inn profitable. The ultimate goal is to turn the Kamerina's Bar into the most popular place in the city.

Mechanics

In of gameplay mechanics, Adventure Bar Story combines Japanese RPG solutions with complex elements of economic strategies. As an innkeeper, we must provide tasty food -this is the only way to get more customers. The key role in this is played by recipes, both proven recipes obtained from various sources, as well as those developed by us through culinary experiments. At the same time, it is also necessary to balance revenue with expenditure on components and to look for the cheapest possible sources of products.

Our character has to do everything in person. In addition, we quickly reach the point where further business development begins to require exotic ingredients. They cannot be bought in the city and in order to get them, we have to go on dangerous expeditions. During them, we command a team of adventurers exploring monster-filled locations. The combat system used in Adventure Bar Story is based on turns. Each ingredient or spice gained increases the uniqueness of our inn's menu and strengthens its position on the market. The game also has a progression system where new levels improve both our combat and culinary skills.
