The Patrician series has grown grey hair by now. The first installment of the trading strategy series reached players in 1992. It had that special "something," but it was the sequel, and especially the DLC introducing many novelties and changes to it, that turned out to be a much more refined. Interestingly, everywhere outside , the expansion Aufschwung der Hanse was released as Patrician 3. There's also Patrician 4, but according to many fans of the series, it is best not to talk about that game at all.
