Ubisoft's Shooter Failed to Sony and Microsoft Certification

Ubisoft has clarified the confusion with the release date of the shooter XDefiant. It turns out that the reason is the lack of certification on consoles.

Ubisoft has decided to explain why it has not yet announced a release date for XDefiant.

  1. All because of the certification process on consoles. Both Sony and Microsoft rejected the version of the game sent to them due to errors. It was not stated exactly what problems were involved.
  2. The developers had hoped for a late August release, but the lack of certification made that impossible.
  3. The developers have made the necessary corrections, and if all goes according to plan, the game will be released at the end of September. However, if further changes are needed, the release date may be delayed to early October.

The developers are not afraid to talk about the problems of their game. Their goal from the very beginning has been to be transparent with the community and listen to player opinions. That's why millions of people were allowed into the early version of the game during the testing, and thanks to their , features such as voting on map selection and Search and Destroy mode made their way into the game.

Recall that XDefiant will use a free-to-play model. The game is headed for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.
