Windows Defender is One of the Best Antivirus Software in the World
According to independent tests, Windows Defender is one of the best antivirus software in the world. In the test it obtained excellent results and blocked all samples of malware.
An independent security testing website, AV-Test, has officially recognized the free Microsoft Windows Defender antivirus software as the best on the Internet, which is a clear improvement since the first release of the program a decade ago.
It took a long time for Microsoft's free antivirus, which first appeared as Security Essentials in 2009, to get to the top of the list. It did not a similar test back in 2013, but at the time the company promised that the future releases would be better.
Now known as Windows Defender, version 4.18 software running on the latest Windows 10 Proffesional has managed to block 100% of all malware samples. In addition, it has also achieved good results in of the impact on computer performance.
Windows Defender scored six points in all three categories (Protection, Performance, Utility) in this test, making it the leader in comparison with such antiviruses as F-Secure Safe 17, Kaspersky Internet Security 19 and Norton Security 22.17.
