But even more impressive thing – it’s made by a solo developer who keeps rolling out updates that players can’t get enough of. But the big question is: will it ever make its way to consoles? Rogue Genesia console release explained
Rogue: Genesia hit Early Access on Steam back in September 2022 and quickly built a solid fan base. But over time, the numbers started to drop. Now, with its full launch, the player count has absolutely exploded overnight and it’s holding strong. So, it’s no surprise that console owners are wondering if they’ll get a chance to try it too.
There’s no official word on Rogue: Genesia coming to Xbox, PlayStation 5, or Switch yet – and it doesn’t look like it’ll happen anytime soon. The game doesn’t even have full controller , with only partial Xbox gamepad compatibility listed on Steam.
Getting full controller in place would be the first step toward a console release, but right now, the developer, Ouadi Huard, seems more focused on fine-tuning the game with small fixes and general polish to make the PC experience as solid as possible. With so much still up in the air, it’s hard to say if Rogue: Genesia will ever be playable anywhere other than Steam.
