We won't have to wait for ENA Dream BBQ Chapter 2 as long as for the first installment
After the success of ENA Dream BBQ Chapter 1, many players are waiting for the next part. Luckily, Chapter 2 is not so far away as some might think.

ENA Dream BBQ Chapter 1 is a hit on Steam. While the game does not reach tens or even hundreds of thousands concurrent players (like some other popular indie games), over 10 000 in the peak is still a solid achievement (via SteamDB). The main source of pride for developers should not be the number of people, though, but their reviews. It is really not very often when a game is as highly regarded as ENA – 99% of positive reviews on Valve’s platform. That is impressive. No wonder that many gamers are wondering when Chapter 2 will be released. Luckily, it should be sooner than the first part.
ENA Dream BBQ Chapter 2 release date explained
ENA Dream BBQ was announced in September 2021. So, over 3 years have ed since that point. We can also assume that the game was in development even earlier. It means that Chapter 1 is the result of 4 years of work. Does it mean that we should expect the next one in 2029? Not necessarily.
On his Patronite, Joel G informed fans that there is no solid date for the release of subsequent chapters after Lonely Door episode (it is the subtitle of the first installment). However, the script for the story is ready. Moreover, the creator also confirmed that the studio has already done some work related to continuation and we should not wait long for more games.
We already have made many cool things outside of Lonely Door and so subsequent chapters should be on its heels!
Of course, we can also assume that ENA team will be able to reuse some assets from the first game (like the character models), which will make the work even easier. So, while we don’t know the release date, we should not wait for the next installment for as long as in the case of Chapter 1.
However, let’s keep in mind that we do not know what Joel G next project is. On his Patronite, the creator informed followers that from March 16 (so 10 days before Dream BBQ release) list of credits for Lonely Door is closed and in the future all ENA tier ers will be listed in credits for the next finished project, be it a short animation or game. So, we do not know if other Chapters will follow immediately. Of course, ENA Team is bigger than Joel himself, so we can assume that the work can continue even without his 100% attention. Nevertheless, other projects can certainly slower the process. So, at this point we should be patient and wait for official information.
