Ninja Gaiden 4 appeared at the Xbox Games Showcase 2025 with a new gameplay trailer and a confirmed release date.

The unexpected announcement of the return of a renowned (and demanding) series surprised players at the beginning of the year. We had to wait almost 6 months for the developers from Team Ninja (known for games like Rise of the Ronin) to finally reveal new stuff about their game during this year's Xbox Games Showcase.

You can watch the new trailer for Ninja Gaiden 4 straight from the Microsoft show below.

The video is full of intense battles with both human and monster enemies, of course. The trailer also includes some info about the plot, including both playable characters. In a separate article, director Yuji Nakao hinted at how the fourth Ninja Gaiden revives and modernizes the series while maintaining the high level of challenge the franchise is known for.

The game will be released on October 21, 2025, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
