The Triple-i Initiative, a showcase focused on featuring indie video games, has announced the date for their annual showcase. This year’s showcase will happen on the same date it did last year, April 10th. This will be the second showcase since the initiative began last year. The organization is ed by several successful indie developers including the teams behind V Rising, and more. According to the social media post announcing the showcase, we can expect over 30 video game announcements over the 45-minute presentation.
The Triple-i Initiative is back with a new showcase scheduled for April 10th
Last year’s presentation started off with the reveal of Darkest Dungeon 2. Chances are that this year we will get more news about all these games, whether its new information about Slay the Spire 2, or more DLC or updates for other games.
Something that does stand out to me, of course, is the date: April 10th. In the video game world, I have begun to think of things in a pre and post Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, which happens on April 2nd. Of course, we still don’t know many of the details of Nintendo’s new console, but with the Direct taking place the week before the Triple-i Initiative is scheduled, there’s a solid chance that this could be one of the first major non-Nintendo showcases to give us a glimpse of what games will be available on the new handheld. The Switch has long been a great place for indie titles, so this would be a great way to kick things off.

Playstack, the publisher behind Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault will likely make an appearance as well, given that publisher 11 Bit Studios is listed. Fingers crossed for release dates for a bunch of these games.
One indie game that has been on my wishlist for a long time is Bloodroots. A gameplay clip was featured in the announcement video, and Paper Cult is on the long list of collaborators, so I hope this means a release date.
For fans of indie games, and just great games in general, this will be a showcase to watch. After knocking it out of the park last year, it would be no surprise if this year had even more great announcements.
