Ubisoft Abandons Tom Clancy's Elite Squad a Year After Release
Tom Clancy's Elite Squad has just received its final update. „Final” because Ubisoft has announced that it plans to shut down the game servers. The game will have to make way for the newly announced Tom Clancy's XDefiant.

The life of Tom Clancy's Elite Squad turned out to be very short. Ubisoft announced that the game update released today will be the last and the company will end for the title. Elite Squad servers will be shut down on October 4.
Splinter Cell series not receiving a new installment for many years. Unfortunately, it seems the game didn't attract enough interest since the project is being abandoned so soon after its August 2020 release.
What is interesting, the French publisher has by no means resigned from the main concept behind Elite Squad. The company has just The Division etc. This time Ubisoft bets on a network shooter, which seems to be a more logical move, given the genre represented by the de facto all productions with Tom Clancy in the title. Testing of the game will begin on August 5.
