'The Witcher 4' - CD Projekt RED Explains Why Choose Unreal Engine 5
CD Projekt Red has given the reasons why they decided to develop the new The Witcher on Unreal Engine 5.

From the moment the game was announced State of Unreal conference, CD Projekt RED gave the reasons why it decided to abandon its proprietary technology REDengine. The whole thing was justified in a two-minute video. However, it doesn't contain too many details.
As the creators themselves emphasize, Unreal Engine 5 is very accessible for developers. Thanks to this it is possible to create a virtual world in no time, and the whole process of creating a sandbox game is more efficient.
The developers also cited an interesting fact. In the UE5 demo from last year, they spotted something of an allusion to their own work - a shot of a village with a bulletin board. It announces that a monster hunter is wanted - it could easily be associated with The Witcher 3.
