At the end of September the team responsible for the creation of Lord of the Rings TV series for Amazon resumed work on the set (the shooting takes place in New Zealand). This means not only the return of the most important actors and key artists, but also the beginning of castings for additional episodic roles.
The details of these castings are somewhat surprising, as fan website The One Ring reports that the producers seek people who could undress in front of the camera. Of course, they are supposed to be more than 18 years old, but all kinds of body types are welcome. Moreover, all rules of privacy are guaranteed except for recording. You can earn about 500 bucks a day, which is quite a business. However, the latter info is not confirmed by the producers.

Keeping the nudity tasteful will be the responsibility of the intimacy coordinator, Jennifer Ward-Lealand. She will provide advice, e.g. in tricky sex scenes. We must also that the coronavirus pandemic makes it even more difficult to record such shots due to the need to maintain all safety measures, so the involvement of such a specialist is even necessary.
It seems like Lord of the Rings will depart a bit from what Tolkien depicted, the man himself being an ardent Catholic and avoiding any erotic descriptions in his books. One of the creators' inspirations may be the famous Game of Thrones, whose soft spot for full frontal nudity was one of the most characteristic features of the series. But how much will be "exposed" in Middle-earth? We will find out about that in unspecified future, as the premiere date of the work is unknown.
