Suikoden Remaster Delayed
We will have to wait longer for Suikoden I & II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars. The collection of refreshed jRPG classics will not debut until next year.

We have bad news for fans of classic jRPGs.
- Konami has announced that the release of Suikoden I & II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars has been delayed.
- Originally, this collection was supposed to be released this year. Now the release has been delayed until 2024, and Konami has not given any more precise date.
- When explaining the decision, the publisher stated that:
"Despite the best efforts of our dedicated developers to release the remasters in 2023, they need additional time to ensure the high quality performance and gameplay that our s deserve."
Suikoden I & II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification is a collection containing the first two installments of the series, originally released in the 1990s on PlayStation. Both game in the set will offer significantly improved graphics compared to the original versions. For example, all backgrounds have been re-created. Visual effects have also been polished, and the music has been remastered. In addition, new features will be added to the games, such as accelerated battles, a dialogue log and automatic game save, which will make the game more enjoyable for players accustomed to modern jRPGs.
The game is heading to PC (via Steam) and PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch consoles.
