Stellar Blade Steam demo progress is not transferring for some s, but there may be a fix
Some Stellar Blade players are not seeing a pop-up that allows them to transfer their demo progress to the full game. Steam s have found a possible fix.

The Steam version of Stellar Blade launched today, a little over a year after the action game’s initial launch. Just a few hours after launch, it’s already one of the top fifteen games on Steam, according to SteamDB. Before today’s release, Steam had a free demo, and you may be wondering if your progress will transfer over to the full game. Some players are finding that their progress is not carrying over; however, there may be a solution, thanks to fellow fans in the Steam community discussions.
Stellar Blade Steam demo progress not carrying over? Fellow fans have a possible fix
The demo for Stellar Blade includes a significant portion of the early game. Being forced to replay it is not exactly how many players expected to begin their playthrough. Some players are encountering a pop-up that asks them if they would like to transfer their demo save data into the full game, but this hasn’t happened for everyone. A discussion on the Steam community tab might have the solution.
Two Steam s shared instructions for how to enable the demo progress. It will involve accessing your save files and deleting specific data. If this feels too risky for you, you can always start the game from scratch. If something goes wrong, you’ll likely have to start a new game either way.
From the Steam discussion post, Glockstar Duey suggests this: “close the Stellar Blade. Hit WindowsKey+R and type %localappdata% scroll down then click SB>Saved>Savedata and delete the SaveGames file…” Duey explains that “…after I deleted this I booted up game and it gave me the option to transfer my demo data again (my game crashed the first time I booted it up and my save wasn’t there). Now after transferring my demo data I have the option to continue in the menu…” Several other s in the discussion post have shared that this solution also worked for them.
Another Steam , Mh006, shared a similar solution, but with some light differences. These instructions say to keep Stellar Blade running while deleting the save data. Then once that’s done, close the game, which “will force a Steam cloud sync that will wipe out the Steam cloud data for Stellar Blade…” Restarting the game should now prompt you with a pop-up asking if you’d like to transfer demo data.
Hopefully, this is helpful. Since you are only deleting data in the full game, not the demo folder, this should be somewhat risk-free. But if you’d rather play the game from the start again, no one will blame you. If you have other questions about Stellar Blade, such as whether it s cross-progression from PlayStation 5, there might be a solution for that as well.
