Mark Hamill Reacts to Popular Star Wars Meme
The meme in which Luke unceremoniously aims a lightsaber at his own face has long been available all over the Internet. Now, Mark Hamill himself has commented on it.

- Mark Hamill has spoken out on the popular meme from A New Hope;
- The actor stated that he feels cringe when he sees it;
- At the same time he mentioned that this particular scene does not appear in the movie.
Probably every Star Wars fan has seen at least once a photo where Luke Skywalker nonchalantly looks into the hilt of his lightsaber. There would be nothing strange in it, if not for the fact that he aims it straight at his head. In some alternate universe, this could be the very moment that A New Hope would end. Fortunately, young Skywalker did not activate the saber on the occasion, thanks to which the galaxy was saved. Mark Hamill, who plays Luke, has now responded to the famous picture and the memes created on its basis.
Mark Hamill is right about the origin of the shot. The famous scene doesn't appear in the film, so it's most likely a set photo that was taken during a break. In A New Hope, Luke activates the saber immediately after receiving it from Kenobi's hands. He then sits down and continues the conversation without any strange movements with the weapon. However, the internet has made the photo as popular as the movie and it was permanently etched into fans' memories. As you can see, it also has a place in Hamill's memories
