Square Enix for the second time denies the creation of a remake of one of the best RPGs in history
For the second time in a matter of weeks, reports of a remake of Chrono Trigger are false.

Fans of the classic Japanese RPG Chrono Trigger haven't been having a good run lately. For the second time in a short while, hopes for a remake of this hit have been dashed.
- Everything started a few weeks ago, during the Italian edition of Comic Con convention. One of the guests was Yuji Horii, the scriptwriter of Chrono Trigger. During the , the translator messed up his statement, and as a result, the news about a remake of Chrono Trigger started spreading. However, these reports were quickly denied.
- Soon after, fans' hopes were reignited when Yuji Horii mentioned in an interview with GameReactor that he wants to return to the franchise and that many people have been asking him for a remake in an HD-2D style.
- The issue is that the GameReactor interview was only available in video format with an English narrator speaking so loudly that it was impossible to hear the creator's native language. As a result, the Japanese magazine Gamespark ed Square Enix, which explained that there are no such plans, and the scriptwriter was simply mistranslated.
The dev was therefore mistranslated twice, which is simply an absurd situation. However, it shows how powerful Chrono Trigger is three decades after its release. People want this brand to return so much that they cling to every shred of hope.
