Spin-off to Far Cry an Online Game with Microtransactions?
Ubisoft is preparing another spin-off of the Far Cry series, and the next online game in its catalog.

Ubisoft recently series of Far Cry Captain Laserhawk Niji Warrior.
At least, online s who spotted this entry on the European game classification PEGI website considered it as such. Strangely, the release date is set for... December 19, 2023. It's probably just a placeholder, but it may be puzzling to see a past date instead of the future one, as is usually the case. Maybe it's simply a PEGI mistake, but there's room for speculation.
Despite the absence of the name Far Cry in the title, Captain Laserhawk is the protagonist of Netflix's adult series from last year. This production was inspired by a previous spin-off of Ubisoft's FPS series: the wild Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. Of course, it's also possible to consider that the new game is more of a nod to the series, which is why "Far Cry" isn't included in the title.
Unlike Blood Dragon, Captain Laserhawk Niji Warrior is unlikely to be a single-player game. The brief description on the PEGI website mentions players competing in deathmatches, where the objective is to eliminate as many opponents as possible, mainly using laser weapons. The title will also include optional microtransactions.
Captain Laserhawk Niji Warrior is definitely coming to PC. Personal computers are currently the sole platform rated by PEGI, although the game will likely be available on consoles in the future.
