IN A NUTSHELL
  1. Three videos have appeared on the official PlayStation channel as a tutorial for PlayStation 5.
  2. They show how to set up the console's features, use PlayStation Network and enjoy games from PlayStation 4 on PlayStation 5.

The launch of PlayStation 5, scheduled for November 12, is less than a week away. Although we already know a lot about Sony's new console, there is no shortage of people still looking for new information about it. If you're in this group, check out the official PlayStation channel on YouTube. It posted three videos to introduce us to the Japanese platform.

The first video focuses on the console's settings and especially its loudly d features such as 3D sound, haptic vibrations and adaptive triggers. We get an explanation of how we can customise these elements to "maximise the experience" on PlayStation 5.

The second video explains how to use our PSN on PlayStation 5, including a new way to sign in to our PSN using a phone or tablet equipped with the PlayStation App.

The third video shows how to enjoy games and data from PlayStation 4 on PlayStation 5. There are several methods - we can transfer files between platforms using Wi-Fi or a network cable, install the game on a portable drive, then transfer it to the new console, access our game library by g in to our PlayStation Network , or finally just buy an item in the PlayStation 4 version in physical form and insert the disc into PlayStation 5.

If you've been hesitating to invest in PlayStation 5 so far and these materials have encouraged you to do so, then unfortunately you may have a hard time getting your copy in the coming weeks. Currently in many places, including Japan, it is no longer possible to pre-order the new console.
