Silent Hill: Alchemilla mod creators working on a co-op horror Twin Souls
Twin Souls is an Unreal 4-based co-op survival horror in development by the creators of Silent Hill: Alchemilla mod.
At times, successful modders decide to try their hand at full game projects of their own, and this is exactly what White Noise Team decided to do. Having recreated Silent Hill on Half-Life 2’s Source Engine last year (that first-person project was called Alchemilla, you can find it here), the group started working on a brand new co-op survival horror dubbed Twin Souls (thanks, PC Gamer!). This one, being their first full-fledged video game, will be built on Unreal Engine 4. Watch the first teaser trailer in order to get a taste of the game’s disturbing atmosphere:
Twin Souls is going to be set in Russia, soon after the dissolution of the Soviet Union. The protagonists are dead, stuck in the Purogatory and trying to escape, and maybe find out why they’s even there. As for gameplay, the players will have to survive against powerful monsters, each one with unique strengths and weaknesses, which you will have to learn – e.g. one may have super hearing, but be alomst blind, while the will be the opposite. Whether you try to kill the monsters or avoid them, depends on you. Note, however, that the ammo is scarce and the heroes are fragile. There is currently no release date set for the game.
