Samuel L. Jackson Never Thought He Would Outlive His Contract with Marvel. So Far, He Has Appeared in 12 Movies
Samuel L. Jackson is surprised by how many Marvel films he has managed to appear in. He didn't think it was possible.

Samuel L. Jackson is an actor who probably needs no introduction to anyone. In addition to being the star of such blockbusters as The Hateful Eight, many viewers associate him with the role of Nick Fury from Marvel movies. He has already appeared in twelve films from under the MCU banner, in addition to which we could see him in TV series, including Secret Invasion, which focused on the fate of the character he played.
So it can be said that Samuel L. Jackson is a Marvel veteran. However, when he signed a contract with Marvel Studios, he did not foresee that he would be able to appear in so many films. Initially, his contract was for nine movies, and already that number seemed sizable to the actor – so much so that he feared he wouldn't be able to make them all. In the end, it turned out that he starred not only in those nine films, but also in several other MCU productions.
The actor talked about his contract with Marvel during an interview with GQ:
I knew I had a nine picture deal when Kevin said, he was like, “We wanna offer you a nine picture deal” I was like, “How long I gotta stay alive to make nine movies?”. It's not the quickest process in the world and people don't do it, so I didn't know they were gonna make nine movies in like two and a half years. Which is kind of crazy. I was like “Oh shit, I'm u my contracts!” but it worked out.
Nick Fury played by Samuel L. Jackson is indeed one of the most frequently seen characters in the MCU, which is due to the fact that he is the character who very often ties the stories together. What we don't know, however, is whether or in what else we will see Jackson. For now, his participation in any of Marvel's shows has not been confirmed.
