RollerCoaster Tycoon successor Planet Coaster launching on Steam today
With Planet Coaster, Frontier Developments have been aiming to bring back the fun gameplay that the early RollerCoaster Tycoon games were loved for. Whether they were successful, we will find out later today, as the game goes live on Steam.
RollerCoaster Tycoon franchise, is launching today on Steam. There is a couple of hours left before the release, which means you can still get the title with a 10% discount and a pre-order bonus: Golden Avatar Hat.
Developed by Elite: Dangerous creators, Frontier Developments, Planet Coaster lets players build their own entertainment parks, featuring a variety of hand-crafted coasters. Thanks to the piece-by-piece construction system you can build anything just the way you like it – sculpt landscapes, design your park’s layout and scenery, customize rides, and so on. What’s more, players must prove their skills not only as imaginative designers, but also as wise managers, tending to individual guests’ wishes and taking care of the economical side of the enterprise.
Interestingly, Planet Coaster is one of the games that use Denuvo Anti-Temper, a rather successful software aimed against piracy, Total War: Warhammer.

- New on Steam. A continuation to an RPG masterpiece, a sequel to an economic strategy from 6 years ago and a detective duo
- ESO: Seasons of the Worm Cult release. This is a new stage of MMO development in the world of The Elder Scrolls
