Project combining Skyrim and Oblivion „only exists because Bethesda allowed it”
The leak of the first footage showing the remaster of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion didn't faze the developers of the fan-made Skyblivion mod.
It would seem that Skyrim engine for more than ten years. However, it turns out that the devs don't intend to give up.
During a conversation with VG247, the main topic of which was, of course, the creators' reaction to the mentioned leak, the team leader Kyle "Rebelzize" Rebel itted that the team's priority is still the release of Skyblivion and maintaining a "positive attitude."
Luckily this thing was all about ion from the start and it still is. I've gotten more out of this than I ever imagined, friends, experience and it made me realize I wanted to work in the gaming industry which I ended up doing - he explained.
Rebel itted that in light of the remaster, it should be appreciated that Bethesda didn't block the fan project.
At the end of the day it [Skyblivion] only exists because Bethesda allowed it [...] - Rebel stated directly.
What's worth noting, the developer used a similar narrative a few months ago, when the remaster of Oblivion was only a rumor. Here's what Rebel said back then:
At the end of the day, we are not trying to sell a game and make a profit. I dedicated 10+ years to bring this game to the fans and I feel this is a typical case of 'it's about the journey, not the destination.' The fact Skyblivion is nearly in a releasable state is a miracle, as we all went into this blindly and in some cases failed our way to the finish line.
The exact release date of The Elder Scrolls: Skyblivion isn't yet known, even though the devs plan to release their creation in 2025. Industry insider Jeff Grubb claims, on the other hand, that the Oblivion remaster will be released next week.
