From now on, PewDiePie will only stream on YouTube.

YouTube announced yesterday that he has signed an exclusive agreement with the world's most popular solo youtuber, Felix "PewDiePie" Kjellberg. It includes live streams, which from now on Felix will only be able to broadcast on Google's platform. No details of the cooperation were given, so we don't know how much it cost the company to "get" exclusivity on PewDiePie, nor how long the contract was signed for.

PewDiePie currently has over 104 million subscriptions on his YouTube channel. This makes him the biggest solo youtuber in the world, and his result was only broken so far by an Indian music channel (over 137 million subscriptions). This is what Felix himself (via GameRant) said about the cooperation:

"Live streaming is something I'm focusing a lot on in 2020 and beyond, so to be able to partner with YouTube and be at the forefront of new product features is special and exciting for the future."

Apart from PewDiePie, Rachell "Valkyrae" Hofstetter, Lachlan "Lachlan" Power or Jack "CouRage" Dunlop are streaming exclusively for YouTube. Ownership of streamers is nothing new in the industry. Last year was very loud about Twitch and Facebook.
