Microsoft Ceases Production of Xbox One X and Xbox One S All-Digital Edition
Today, Microsoft officially announced the suspension of production of Xbox One X and Xbox One S All-Digital Edition consoles. This move is to prepare the company for the release of Xbox Series X.

Some time ago, the first unconfirmed information about the alleged cease of production of Xbox One X and an improved version of Xbox One S (All-Digital Edition) appeared on the web. Sellers in several places around the world (including Great Britain and Australia) have lost the possibility of replenishing their supply of the device. It is said that with this move the company wants to prepare for this year's debut of the ninth generation console - Xbox Series X. The reports were quickly confirmed by Microsoft representatives on gamesindustry.biz and theverge.com. We also learned that Xbox One S (the cheapest version of the device) will continue to be produced and sold around the world.
Microsoft's statement on the matter:
"As we ramp into the future with Xbox Series X, we're taking the natural step of stopping production on Xbox One X and Xbox One S All-Digital Edition. Xbox One S will continue to be manufactured and sold globally. Gamers can check with their local retailers for more details on Xbox One hardware availability."
Next week (i.e. July 23) there will be an Xbox Games Showcase read a little more about the company's plans for the generation. The head of the Xbox brand, Phil Spencer, revealed, among other things, that the subscribers of the Xbox Game Ultimate service will also be given access to Project xCloud. Xbox Series X is to make its debut later this year, during the Holiday season.
