Lumina points are a key resource in Clair Obscur Expedition 33. They allow for free, flexible character development through the allocation of various ive effects and creating synergies between them. The main limitation will be their number - the more powerful the effect, the more Lumina points it costs to equip them. In the First Act of the game, there's a simple way to score a lot of Lumina points through the collectibles you'll come across throughout the game. Below we answer how to get colour of Lumina from a friendly gestral.

This article doesn't contain spoilers, but it does reveal a few locations from the First Act of the game and how many your party will ultimately consist of.

How to get more Lumina points?

In the First Act of the game, you will visit the Gestral Village. This is a mandatory location that you need to complete in order to progress in the story. As befits a settlement, it is full of gestrals, who have more or less to offer - trade, items, or funny dialogues. However, one of these NPCs offers a unique service.

Head to the Gestral Bazaar inside the village, west of the entrance to the location. Among various stalls, you will come across a big, blue gestral - talk to him. This is Berrami, a gestral searching for abandoned expedition journals. You probably already know what they are - the first journal is received during a cutscene, and you can't miss it.

For every ten journals found, Berrami will reward you with twenty colors of Lumina - items that you can use in the camp to permanently give a selected party member an additional Lumina point. Since journals are ubiquitous and you will come across them while exploring the game world, this adds up to a really significant amount of extra points. So every now and then, return to the Gestral Village and talk to Berrami. You can find the list of journals and their locations in our guide.

You can use the colors of Lumina in the camp, specifically by talking to The Curator, who will settle there after completing the Flying Waters, the second main location of the game. Since Expedition 33 will ultimately consist of five playable characters, this means that every ten journals found will reward you with four Lumina points for each of the party —if, of course, you distribute them evenly among them.
