Loot River is a Crazy Marriage of Tetris and Dark Souls
Loot River is a somewhat wacky project that combines roguelike and soulslike genres, adding moving around on Tetris blocks to the mix. Sound weird? On paper yes, but watching the game's trailer is a delight.

- Loot River is an interesting combination of soulslike, roguelike and Tetris.
Have you ever wondered what will come out of combining the Dark Souls series, Tetris and roguelike? Loot River is a project that sounds like something extremely absurd on paper, but looks surprisingly good once in motion. Unless you're allergic to indie games and pixel art.
To stand out in the overcrowded roguelike market, the team at straka.studio decided to mix together seemingly completely incompatible game genres. While shoehorning soulslike elements wherever possible is nothing new, adding Tetris to the mix deserves recognition.
Loot River, at least as far as we can deduce from the teaser, neatly combines the combat and style of soulslike games with moving around the world by moving blocks. Our hero will become stronger along with the game's progress, and this will be followed by the player's understanding of game mechanics.
The game will launch on PC, Xbox One and Series X|S, although at this point not even an approximate release date was specified.
