Kazuma Kiryu returns

Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is an action adventure game whose storyline takes place between the events of Yakuza: Like a Dragon. In it we will learn the fate of the legendary Kazuma Kiryu, who faked his own death to protect his family and now has to face a mysterious villain who wants to bring him out of hiding.

Fans of the series need no introduction to Kazuma Kiryu, known as the Dragon of Dojima. This is because he is the protagonist of almost all installments of the series. Thanks to Like a Dragon Gaiden, on the other hand, we will learn what happened to Kiryu before he was replaced by another protagonist in the seventh installment.

In of gameplay, it's also a return to its roots - it's an action adventure game with an arcade combat system. The world has an open-ended structure, and most of the available quests end in a fight. As the gameplay progresses, Kazuma learns new styles and more advanced techniques. In combat, he uses fists, kicks and elements of the environment. There will also be a variety of mini-games, for which the series is famous.

According to the first reviews (average 79/100 on Opencritic), the game is rather short - it reportedly takes about 10 hours to complete the main storyline. Critics praise the satisfying combat system and great storyline, which one of them described as "a love letter to Kazuma Kiryu fans."
